Yesterday was one of my best friend’s birthday and I surprised her by bringing her best friend from the city. I think I did good, I took my friend out to a Thai restaurant in Williston park, it was really good. My goal was to make her feel important! She’s a very special person I hold closely in my heart. She was the first friend I made at Albany. We met at a soccer game exchanged a few words then it turned out she was in my educational psychology class. She came up to after class and said hi to me and I’m glad she did because I didn’t have any friends when I first went to Albany, so that made me happy. The rest has been history, we’ve been through so much together, so I’m glad I got to spend her birthday with her and just bring her best friend. It’s always the small things in life that people appreciate in life the most. Material things are nice like who doesn’t want a new MacBook (that’s what I bought my little sister for her birthday and it’s next month I can’t wait to give it to her), but the little things are what people cherish the most, at least that’s what I cherish. I’m glad I was able to make my friend happy on her special day. Well now I have to wait for Saturday to see them again, we’re going to Barton orchards. I typically don’t like doing shit like that but that’s what my friend wanted to do for her birthday so whatever makes her happy!
